I took the boat out yesterday for my first time fishing since last October. Going thru gear on the boat and getting ready for the upcoming trout and Kokanee season. I went to a fairly close by lake that produces / gets planted with some nice trout. I botched the net job on two other fish, one was 4+ lbs and the other was 6+ lbs. That stinks when you’re fishing alone but I have done it many times. I also broke off on another fish that was a tank! The hot setups were the 6” pink/purple dodger with a Brads Kokanee cut plug in Mexican hat and a 4” orange dodger with a hand tied Mexican hat spinner. Both tied with Gamagatsu size 1 split shot / dropshot hooks tipped with a piece of night crawler. Trolled between 1.8- 2.2 mph between 5-20’ deep.
