Earlier i wrote a post claiming that my cpds went well with shrimps !
But after keeping them for a year
Here’s my honest take.
Once my CPDs got settled in, i completely stopped seeing shrimp babies .shrimplets are absolutely not visible while my cpds just kept getting bigger and chunkier !
Sure i do see few juveniles here and there who supposedly hid and survived. But the colony has completely lost its pace !
Cpds are not like ember tetras, cpd looks into every nooks and cranny , very curious by nature and i feel actively seeks shrimplets.
My green babaulti shrimps have mostly went extinct, as their offspring need more time than regular neos to grow to juvenile stage. I only see few adults now. (They were a colony too)
My fire red Neocaridina sure still has better numbers, but their colony has taken a massive hit, ever since i got CPD.
I also have ember tetra, who are fine with shrimps.

Interesting! I am going for the same set up, ember tetras and galaxy rasboras with snails and red cherry shrimps.
yes. same reason why breeders need to remove the eggs.
