I realized her swim bladder was pineconing, and I did not want her to suffer any longer. Nobody seems to have luck with pineconing, so I decided to euthanize her.
I had her for almost 2 years, and she had reached adulthood by the time I got her. I would assume she’s 2.5 years of age, which I know is not old. This was my second betta fish ever and I learned so much from her.
Yes, I used a tutorial on here with clove oil euthanasia, no I don’t care about your opinions on clover or clove oil (forgot the name), don’t even mention it. This was my first time euthanizing an animal, it took an hour. I’m exhausted.
This wouldn’t have happened if I had an extra heater on standby when hers had to be removed. I thought I could have waited until the day after to get a heater and there would be no issues. I was wrong. I know I messed up.
I’ll miss you forever Sarai.

Can I please ask. How to humanely euthanize a fish? I’ve never been sure how to do it and one of my tetras is going downhill id like to put her out of her misery
