My betta fish originally seemed like he had swim bladder, i’d been treating him with esha 2000 and yesterday he seemed to be eating a tiny bit and somewhat back to normal and swimming around for the first time in over a week. Then this morning i found him laying completely on his side and he’s turned very black. Is it time? I’ve got clove oil

Very sad, and I’m sorry this is happening to you.
Clove oil is not recommended for bettas due to their labyrinth organ, they can breathe and live through their entire death (and it can take an hour).
The recommended method is blunt force.
