Found this reel in my late father’s fishing gear. No markings, seems to be made of copper??

Yes indeed, very old. Does it still turn or is it rusted together?

Known as a skeleton reel. Not particularly valuable but very cool. That one has an interesting pattern at the center of its arbor. Better-educated collectors than I will know more about its origin and actual value. 100+ years old. Maybe up to $100 to the right person. Meisselbach reels are pretty much the gold standard for these.
