Done with the hardscape on my first 10 g (36l) tank. How does it look? Suggestions for plants and fish? I was thinking about a school (6-7) tetras and 1 bottom dweller.

Looks good. I like Cryptocoryne parva for your space availability. Its a bit of a creeper though so it requires some patience.

I wouldn’t put tetras in anything less than a 20 gal long. No readily available and accessible schooling fish can live comfortably and happily in a 10 gal. Try a male betta, he might enjoy resting on that driftwood.
As for plants, some anubias or Java fern to attach to the driftwood could look nice. I would put some red Amazon swords in the back and let them grown untamed. If you don’t have substrate suitable for plants (no soil), then stick to plants that get nutrients from the water column, or get some root tabs (from a shop or homemade) and bury them in the substrate.
