My betta, Juno, was lying on the bottom of the tank with the translucent, gooey end hanging out of his mouth. I corned him to pull it out and it just kept coming out. It’s nearly the length of his body. I found the shell of my large ramshorn snail. Could this be his body? Juno seems to be doing alright and is active again. (Images are the same object, just flipped for a different angle + Juno picture for tax)

Wow thats gnarly!
It’s 100% the snail:/
Holy
That looks like snail innards to me!
oh my god it’s the snail😭😭😭 i didn’t know they ate them LMAO
My male betta head-butted and killed 3 of the plecostomus fish in the tank, but I didn’t know they’d also go after snails!!! Jeez they’re like pretty sharks 😭😬 (he’s my first fish too, and of course I’d pick a male betta) 🙃
We need an intervention with all the male bettas and tell them the line from Bruce the shark from finding Nemo : “fish are friends, not food” – human equivalence “we listen and don’t judge”
