Not a fan of the chronarch line personally. Don’t get me wrong it’s a fine reel, but for the price point and performance, I’d rather have a curado K 150mgl. Also don’t k ow much about Powell but it sure looks like it’ll fish! Nice setup!

Powell rods are nice, never used that model though. You definitely should use a higher power rod for chatters. The Chronarch is a pretty good reel, a bit older, but good. Smackdown is pretty meh, I got a couple spools from the Seaguar rep a few years ago and liked it alright, but not enough to switch from my usual PPV2 and 832. Rating for the combo in general is like 6.5/10, rating as a chatterbait setup is like 3/10. Just opinions, don’t crucify me.
