Decided to get back into the hobby after a couple of years break, I’m currently in the process of cycling my tank and today I’ve spotted a few detritus worms wriggling around on the glass as well as a hydra and specs of algae, is this a good sign during cycling/ do they benefit the tank in anyway? On a side note, would you guys consider this a moderately planted tank (I plan on getting more stem background plants and more epiphyte plants for the wood)?

Thanks! 🐟

I like detritus worms because they can be food for some fish. I wouldn’t be very happy about the hydra though. Tank is stunning imo, but personally I’d call it sparsely planted because not even half of it is covered. You can also see the back glass panel through the planted bits. Welcome back to the hobby!
