Fishing in a desert reservoir off the Verde river, I seem to always catch the same size Bass; nearly identical. I’m curious if anybody knows why there’s so many bass that are the same size? I fish a pretty good variety of depths and seem to always catch these 1 pounders.

They’re all competing with each other pretty evenly. You’d catch less if there were bigger sized ones. Probably not enough food to sustain the larger sized ones for long.
