Question: Dry Shake Refill Process?

Hey Guys – instead of buying a new green dry shake bottle like I always do, I bought the refill. Do I need to empty the original green bottle completely and then refill? Or do I just add some of the refill (bottle shows 2 x refill amount). Thanks.
