Please research and cycle the tank properly before adding fish Buy an api freshwater test kit Also add beneficial bacteria Cycling usually takes 4-6 weeks

Cute tank! Let it start itself by giving it time around 4 weeks.

Nice animals to add later are shrimp and or snails! No fish, 25 liter is like putting a human in a bathroom and letting him live there. It can work, but it’s absolutely depressing and not fun for anyone.

Otherwise let it sit for a few weeks, run filter, add food and fertilizer.

Edit because I cannot really understand how people don’t want animals to have bigger and more room to live their whole lives in. I don’t want to argue, but it’s not my opinion, it’s basic animal care. Put a goldfish in a bowl I don’t care, but I still can say it needs way more space to live comfortably

Make sure that the heater does not touch the substrate.

For the surface film, drop a paper towel on the surface and quickly pull it out.

  4. it’s more of an interest, I’m just curious about what it is like to understand the process a little.

yes, I let it work for a few weeks before I put some animals in it
first the fire shrimps and 1 Malayan tower snail
    then 6 endler guppies males
    and 1 zebra snail.

Enjoy, have fun, experiment – you’ll make mistakes (everyone does) and dont let people on the internet get to you!!!

Filter needs to be higher, spray bar should be rippling the surface water, heater also needs to be higher so it’s not touching the gravel.

  7. If you know anyone with an aquarium take a rock from their tank to help add beneficial bacteria to the tank.
Don’t leave light on for more then 8 hours a day. I would leave my light on 25/7 and had a lot of algae problems.
