I’m struggling to figure out how to mount this so the transducer is below or flush with the bottom of the kayak

  1. I glued my transducer in place with marine-grade Sikaflex.
The existing mounts were too bulky to recess, and I wanted to be able to tow my kayak on the sand without any problems.

I’m mounting my new transducer this afternoon, I’m interested in hearing ideas. 🙂

  3. Do you have a trolling motor? The 1st Pic looks like the 2nd piece (right) is the mount for your monitor. If you don’t have a trolling motor mount, I’d use a transducer mount https://a.co/d/0i05DafM. Or…If the stern of your Yak isn’t pointed, I’d consider mounting it back there and running the line to your unit (mounted fwd).
Additionally, if you’re planning on mounting it where you have it, you realize you’d be drilling into your Yak below the waterline! That’s a sure recipe for a leaking Yak…j/s.
