Been running a Garmin STRIKER Vivid 7sv on my setup for a while now and honestly it’s been stupid reliable.
ClearVü + SideVü still surprises me sometimes… found a few brush piles and drop-offs I would’ve 100% missed otherwise. It’s one of those units that just works without messing around too much in settings. Only reason I’m even considering letting it go is I’m thinking of stepping up to something bigger for more screen space.
Part of me feels like I’ll regret it though because this thing has been solid and does way more than most people actually use on the water. Curious anyone else upgrade from the 7sv and feel like it was worth it?
(If someone’s been looking for one, I might let this go depending on what I decide… just testing the waters for now.)

Only thing you’re missing is pre-loaded maps…but you can make your own with the unit. I run a Striker 7cv (non-Vivid) next to an Echomap 9sv. I like the downscan of the Striker combined with the side-scan and maps of the Echomap running in conjunction.
