I did 6 turns on each side and cut the tags as close as I could. Its length is about the same length of my pole, so about 7 feet. Probably a bit shorter. Im using 15lb braided with 10lbs flourocarbon. I tried doing the fg knot but i just couldn't get it and then I learned that due to the the diameters of my lines being nearly the same, it makes it difficult for an fg knot.

Honestly really not bad for the first time. I’m new to this shit too. Maybe you don’t need so many turns though if you want it to be more streamlined.
