Looking to get a pair or waterproof boots for when I’m stream and pond fishing, don’t want to have to wear waders. Most the ponds I fish are usually muddy banks or a hike to get there. Also sometimes am bank fishing a stream and could easily cross a shallow section if I had some decently high waterproof boots. I deal with a lot of mud hiking and some slippery rocks so tread is a must.

Found these muck boots but I’m sure there are better options. Any suggestions?

I wear that same pair to work everyday and to go fishing with and i do like them but i seem to get about 4-6 months out of a pair

Muck or Boggs are great. I wear my Boggs all spring and late fall, or anytime it’s particularly swampy and wet.

Not the greatest for hiking but my Xtra-Tuffs have seen it all!!

Mucks are great, use the insulated ones for ice fishing. Wading pants with stockings and wading boots is actually the most comfortable and ergonomic

I’ve been absolutely punishing a pair of Muck Viper Max boots in extremely rocky terrain for over a year and don’t have a single complaint.
I would buy another pair tomorrow if I needed to.

Good boot but make sure they are light. Mine are heavy and a full day walking and fishing is hard.

these are great boots i’ve have two for light creek stomping and fishing the muddy harbor beaches at night, will say, they’ve yet to break in and i’m starting to think they won’t, supppper heavy and heel blisters

I love my Muck Boots and would feel comfortable trekking in shin deep water in them

You absolutely have to try them on. I spent an hour at BassPro this spring trying everything they had and walked outwith a pair of RedHeads – they were the best fit and light enough for summer use.
