I caught this little one in the Stones River in Nashville. Google image search suggests spotted or Alabama bass are most likely, with juvenile largemouth a more unlikely possibility because it appears from the photo that the jaw when closed wouldn’t extend past the eye. I didn’t check the jaw at the time, unfortunately.

That’s absolutely a spot. The lake we have tournaments on has a 12 in limit for spots and 15 for largemouth. Guys bring in little largemouth constantly and try to pass them off. Except they don’t look alike at all lol
