I went to a local Great Lakes tributary on my way home for lunch from work to see what was biting. I heard this was a good spot for white bass, but only found this 18″ 3lb smallie and a ton of white drum.
This was caught on a tiny VMC bucktail jig I was just bouncing off the bottom. I also used a black Kalin hair jig, gold cicada, and black jig head with a swimbait to catch a couple white drum as well.
I’ve caught some of my biggest fish stopping at a spot real quick. Nice fish and keep up the good work 👏
