I got this baitcaster for free, and I have no clue how to use it. None of my family has gotten it to cast very far, probably due to its age. It's an old Daiwa reel on an old Winchester rod. Could I get some advice on how to use and upkeep it?

Check my Youttube on how to un-knarl the inevitable fly back tangled lines you’ll encounter; however, as far as to use it on a normal basis just follow the expert advice that percolates herein.
