It’s about 3-4’ long and pitch black in the water. It somehow ended up in my pond (half a mile from a river). This is in Arkansas.

Its a long nosed get. Tend to thinner and longer than the alligator gar.

Cool, now you have a gar pond
They like to get into tight spots in high water and get stuck when the water receded. Find alot of skeletons in the Mississippi backwaters as water receds
