I’ve been running an Old Town Topwater 106 with a trolling motor for a bit. I’m generally happy with it, but have grown tired of dealing with the battery. Especially since I fish less these days. I looked at the PDL models in the 106 size. My hesitation is that the pedal drive seems to dominate the space in front of the seat. I don’t really want a 12’ boat though. Are there any 10’ range pdls that have decent space in front of the seat? I’m just worried it will feel cramped.

I’m just getting into having a battery on my kayak to run some basic electronics. Out of curiosity, when you say you’re “tired of dealing with the battery” which aspect in particular?
