My dad loves fishing and I am just a clueless daughter, I wanted to buy him a tenkara as a quick and easy travel gear basically. Is this a good idea or will he hit me with a 2h fishing talk about stuff I don’t understand?
Saw the one in the pic and It seemed like a neat idea but i don’t want to necessarily get this one

Tenkara is a very niche form of fly fishing so if he doesn’t use flies, I would say don’t get it
