Just started fishing at local pond. First day got skunked. Second day, tried multiple soft baits but didn’t catch anything. After talking to another angler who is catching fish every 15 minutes, went to the local hardware store and got live worms. Second cast with a live worm caught one..

Worms are the ultimate slump busters. Almost impossible to not catch something. If live worms aren’t working I can’t imagine what would.
