I honestly didn't realize how much personality a fish could have until I got my Betta. He’s such a good companion!
Every time I sit close to the tank, he just stops and stares at me. If I look away, he goes back to swimming around, but the second I look at him, he zips right back to the glass to say hi.
My favorite part is his routine. When it’s time for bed, he goes right back to his favorite leaf to sleep. He’s so quiet, easy to maintain, and honestly just brings so much peace to my room.
If you’re looking for a pet that’s interactive but chill, I can’t recommend a Betta enough. I have zero regrets!

They are really the best. I have mine in the kitchen and he hangs out with me when I cook. He even flares at the glass if I turn the lights on in the middle of the night 😂 like I’m disrupting his sleep!
