They were striking everywhere. Beautiful spot and a nice walk. 2.6 pounds.

Do you not gill cut fish? I always carry a pair of game shears and cut all the gills in half on both sides. They bleed more than expected I find they also die slower on ice than if I wait till dead in regular air.
You really should try gill cutting its more ethical and makes the meat taste better more white.
