Nice tank, but 11L is too small for a betta 😢. Try getting that upgrade asap.

  2. For starters why are you using Chat GPT for something you could easily research via Google. If you can’t even put in the effort of a Google search (or atleast coming here first) should you really have a pet?

  3. 16 gallons is fine. Just make sure parameters are good and the filter isn’t too strong.

  4. It’s not too tall. The flow of your filter is more important. Bettas like low flow like a sponge filter. Looks like you have a hob filter. Is the flow adjustable? What fin type of betta do you have.

As long as he isn’t having trouble getting around it’s fine! Just monitor him once you transfer him over. He(?) should be fine 🙂

Looks great!! I recommend getting a glass lid; bettas are jumpers and they can jump out!! 🥺
You can also take mesh netting and cover the top of your tank with that too!!

I would stick a hammock or floating log at the left side as we see it, near the surface and he should love it, as long as you turn down the flow

I have a 10 gallon angled tank and I don’t use the lid because the wood sticks out. I leave a couple inches of air space in the top of the tank. Maybe my Betta is different (I don’t think so), but I’ve never seen him jump 😂 I hate when people call them jumpers. Actually they’re swimmers that when startled will do a little hop, but he only did that once during acclimation. I don’t worry about Doug at all.

reading these comments OP is a worldclass ragebaiter 😂😂 about the lid problem someone else said, i just used amazon frogbit and let it take over the surface, other than that amazing setup!!

  10. that’s ur problem, don’t ask A.I.; it makes up answers- there’s no such thing as a tank that’s too big for any fish

I have my betta in a 29 gal full of plants and she’s happy as a clam! Explores every inch of the tank all day long.

  12. Looks nice! Your betta might appreciate some floating plants to provide some shade and cover, but otherwise looks really nice.

I would add some leaves or greenery floating near or on the top, they often like to lounge around on them for a break. Make no mistake though, a betta will happily patrol every inch of that tank.

Just to expand on the topic of the height of the tank, the reason chatgpt is saying that the tank is “too tall” is because betta need to have access to the surface in order to breathe through their accessory breathing system which allows them to breathe through their mouth.

Because of this, horizontally oriented tanks are better than vertically oriented ones.

However, the inherent height is not necessarily an issue here as this is still a “small” tank (if it were hundreds of gallons then height would start to become a factor).
