As the title states I’m a newbie to everything fishing and recently I found this tackle box on FB marketplace for cheap and figured I’ll pick it up to start somewhere. Was wondering if anyone could give me insight on what kind of fishing I could do with these lures (bait?), or if I should be using them at all? Some are fairly old and could use some TLC but that’s why I’m here! Thank you all in advance

Definitely bass heavy on all of it. You can definitely catch other species on them as well depending what you have in your area
Looks like a great start, honestly. Bass angling is definitely possible. I would give one suggestion, maybe keep your soft plastics down inside the box, instead of the transparent top section. If they are set out in the sun, they can melt and degrade over time. They are A PAIN to get out once they’ve melted. You could put them in ziploc bags down inside, and put any crankbaits/jerk baits in the top. They tend to hold up better with the sun.
Aside from that, I’d say you can definitely get started. You’ll need little things, but finding and buying those are part of the fun. Best of luck, man!
Just throwing this out there, I had a similar box of worms and soft plastics. I made the mistake of mixing brands and types. Don’t be me, it’s no fun finding out that you’ve got nothing to fish with when you open the box.
Certain soft plastics react with one another and even react with other materials like silicone and the tackle boxes itself. I’m sure there’s a thought process behind which are which and what can and can’t be mixed. Rule of thumb is keep it in the package.
Got your bases covered for lures
