Someone in my area is selling these conventional rods brand new for pretty good price. Plan on using it trolley fishing off piers for King Mackerel. They are both essentially the same apart from action. One is fast and one is mod-fast. Which one would be better for the fishing I plan on doing? I am siding with mod-action but not sure.

Fast for lures and action fishing.
Mod fast if you were using it for trolling.
