Hello! I’m new to fish community and fish in general. Planning on setting up a tank community with for sure clown pleco and corydoras and potentially some kuhli loach. I will be having live plants and dwarf shrimp in the tank as well. Tank is 40 gallons. Wondering if I am able to put this cichlid I really want to buy in with corydoras or if I’ll have a lot of issues.. any and all advice is appreciated!!
I’m open to any and all suggestions of other unique fish that would be a better alternative!

Edit, planning on having 4-7 Cory’s and willing to get more than one cichlid
Update : after careful consideration and advice I will most likely be getting Bolivian rams and or honey gouramis!

The more the merrier. One to one the cichlid will relentlessly harass the cory to death. If you have 6 cory’s and three to four cichlids they’ll be more concerned with defending their territory from each other and the cory’s will become part of the furniture.

The advice on this sub has gotten terrible lately… do not put this in a community tank at all.  This is a very agressive fish.

This fish likes high ph and corys like low ph  these are not compatible in anyway.
