I dropped my Saragosa reel in the sand as soon as I got to the spot. I cleaned all the sand I could out it felt gritty at first before I wiped all I could off but not it’s running smooth. Am I chillin like reeling it in and the flipping the bail feels normal but is that extra sand gonna do anything or is the sealing gonna prevent anything from happening

Dunk it in the water and rinse it out when you get home
You can unscrew the drag adjustment to remove the spool and get a small soft paint brush and wipe all the sand off.
Rinse in freshwater when you get home. You can give it a spin while spraying with the hose.
Get a bottle of fresh water and pour it all over. Take off the spool by loosening the drag all the way. Wipe out any sand you can see.
If you don’t have a beach rod holder (sand spike) get one. Keeps you from having to lay down your rod & reel in an emergency.
