Pardon my dirty appearance on my wall but yea isn't that part supposed to be wet? I remember when I had my old fish it would always be soaking wet. Hoping I didn't f this up as I really want to throw my fish in. It's been a week. (Yes ive done proper quick-start cycling dosing)

  1. Imo, but could be wrong, but anything dry without water flow is not gonna build a bacteria colony

    The wet part will

I hope your bio media rings are covered with water flow

A week generally is not even close to long enough to cycle a tank, especially with whatever this dry box situation is, what ppm of ammonia is your tank processing to nitrates in 24h? And what am I looking at? Those beads look dry and there might be some water at the bottom of that cartridge filter? Why a cartridge filter when you could use real media in such a large space?
