question to outback owners (+2019)

The seat doesn't sit well with the tilt rotate method. is the front lever that raises and lower the sea broken?

any idea what's the part number and how it should look like

    There’s a bit of a technique to getting the seat on. Once you get the hang of it it’ll be easy. Best way I can describe it is start with the seat perpendicular to the kayak (90° up from the position it would be in when you’re sitting it it). Press it firmly against the bar, ensuring it’s fully against the bar across its whole length. Gently pull upwards on the back of the chair (toward the sky, since the chair is tilted up) and maintain tension in this direction as you rotate the chair down toward the seated position. Once it’s rotated down you can gently tug upwards on the front edge of the chair to make sure it’s locked in place (just make sure you’re not accidentally grabbing the bar when you do this or you may get a false sense that it’s secured)
