I’m giving away my bettas to a small aquarium shop and agreed to take them in for me.

My ocd and anxiety are getting so bad I just can’t take it. I missed a water change and luckies fins got clamped up again :(.

I plan on dropping them off today which is really sad but I know it’s for the better as someone can provide better care for them.

It was interesting but at the same time stressful lol 😂 thank you for having me toodles!

When I had my betta codish Ohmygod the stress dreams were crazy but I adored him until the moment he passed but I’m very proud of you for recognizing though that they would be better in a different household its hard but if taking care of an animal doesn’t bring you happiness than it’s not worth it for either of you!

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I always think rehoming is the best option, because it at least shows that the pet owner has the insight to realize their pet could use better/different care than they’re able to provide.

Fish are not easy to keep! Hopefully they go to a loving next/new home. It’s better to reduce anxieties in your life anyway.

I see you, my fish got sick (inevitable, she spent at least 8 months in 6 oz of water). And the time she was sick before she passed was exceedingly stressful for me. I spent that whole month spending every second thinking what I could do or would do or didn’t do that I should have. Fish are very hard to keep, because you can’t take them to the vet when something is wrong, and there’s very little info out there. Youre doing a great job, and I’m sorry you’re having to say goodbye to your fishy friends 🙁 thank you for caring for them!
