He eats twice a day, flakes in the morning and now maybe two pellets in the evening.

Yes you are overfeeding but it’s more than just being over weight this looks like bloat due to illness or stress.

Extremely if it’s overeating but I’m concerning this is something medical.

He is still moving pretty actively in his tank😭, I do weekly water changes. I can’t imagine what he can be ill from

I forgot to mention I had a few shrimp in there as well, maybe he ate them🥲don’t see the tiny ones anymore

  5. You might want to You Tube giving him a salt bath. He looks uncomfortable and a salt bath csn relieve some of his bloat.

  6. Fast three to five days in a hospital tank with catappa leaves and slightly higher temperature than normal. My last betta struggled with severe bloat until I figured out his diet. Only use live/frozen foods and high quality pellets like Fluval Bug Bites betta.

He is a bit big, he looks bloated. Most Bettas (usually adult bettas) can normally fast for 3 days. So you don’t have to worry about under feeding him. His stomach is the size of his eye, so I’d just be proportional when feeding him.
