I’ve gone far enough left that I got my guns back. Initiatives like this are why we are spiraling towards a fascist, authoritarian government rule.
Losing the plot.

The weed has gotten too strong. Need to back it down a notch or three.

I hate that these idiots proposing these bills are lumped in with leftists. Makes liberalism look bad when the loons keep pushing shit that no one wants or cares about.

So sad. This is one of our greatest Freedoms as Americans. The ability to enjoy the great outdoors, respectfully harvesting edible wildlife that gives us a greater appreciation for what we have, and where it came from. It enhances us to be better stewards of the environment through our daily lives. The impact that this would have on future generations is just so sad to even ponder.

Personally I feel entitled to harvest from the lands I grew up with ultimately, I still follow rules for conservation so that future generations may enjoy the land too.
If the state relinquishes the means to comply with state wildlife management at all, than poaching becomes a moral right that I would applaud every oregonite who does not comply since the land belongs to all of them.

This is an absolutely horrible move, it’s way too broad and the impact is astonishing. Whoever authored this and signed it has no idea of the overall impact it will make. Just the amount of money the economy will lose from hunting is enough to vote no on this should it make it the ballots, but the impact to conservation efforts from hunting funds and the loss of farming in the state should hopefully shoot this down. Somebody needs an ass kicking for authoring this shit.

My brother moved there from CT and I have no idea why. I would never live there or even visit tbh. Too expensive

It actually goes far beyond hunting and fishing. Nobody can harm an animal for any reason except self defense. This means (yes, I’ve researched it) that people can’t have farms where animals get reeped for the meat. Believe it or not, it also prohibits pest control that would kill rats and other pests.
I’ve heard from people there that they don’t expect it will pass the referendum, but it’s already much farther than I expected. Give it a cute enough name and people will vote for it, not realizing what they’re doing.

As proof, some kids got people to sign off on a program that banned a harsh sounding chemical. Lots of people signed off on it, not realizing that they were asking to ban water. Here’s the story on that: [Water Ban](https://www.iflscience.com/how-a-14-year-old-boy-convinced-his-class-to-ban-dihydrogen-monoxide-72579)
