Can’t tell if bait or not. But please don’t lay trout in the grass unless you’re legally keeping the fish to eat. Trout are very sensitive and laying in the grass/dirt wipes away their slime coat and they’re prone to not surviving.

It’s a spot, not a largie. You can tell because the anal fin is 2.93 cm closer to the gill plate and has exactly 7.5 spines.
