Within the past 3 days I’ve received from Amazon 5 Daiwa rods.

The 2-7’3” one pieces were well packed,
The 3-7’ two piece were well packed,

But the 1-6’6” Daiwa Presso Ultralight rod arrived only in a thin plastic bag. And although I ordered 2 of these rods they were shipped separately. Yesterday unsurprisingly Amazon advised the 2nd Presso was damaged in shipping and they would cancel/refund one rod.

I reordered but not feeling optimistic I’ll receive the rod undamaged. Has anyone had issues like this from Amazon before?

Thank you!

Yes, with virtually every rod I’ve ever ordered from Amazon lol. I do not buy rods from Amazon anymore. Literally never had a single one that arrived in a sturdy tube

Mate I have had multiple rods from diawa and shimano with snapped tips when ordered from amazon. I refuse to order new gear less its from a reputable store now.

AliExpress stores care more than Amazon, it’s pretty sad that my $30 Mavllos rods from China come in a rod pouch in a PVC tube with padding on each end.

Rods are never so important to me tht I feel the need to order them… For this very reason

I ordered two rods online about 10 years ago and they both arrived with broken tips or broken in half.  Haven’t ordered rods online since.  Rods are too fragile to go through shipping facilities.

Yea, I’m never ordering a rod off Amazon ever again after I ordered a Shakespeare that had a huge crack that went up the whole of the rod. Not worth it.
