As far as rod strength goes that’s a good pair. I have my 2500 on a St Croix Avid ML and it it’s a good match for me
What are you planning on using the setup for? Miravel is an awesome reel in that price point. Depending on your budget I would maybe get something nicer for a rod, but this one will definitely work just fine!
It’s a classic Pure Fishing parts bin product, which isn’t bad at all, but it is essentially a Pflueger branded Fenwick Eagle with the last generation reel seat (the new Fenwick one is divisive).
Personally, I’d go with the Fenwick, lifetime warranty and you get more length/power/action choices.
You can also get the same reel seat on the Abu Garcia Veritas – a little bit more money, but a better blank too.
