small crack in the corner of my 14gal cube.. i was thinking about putting some clear caulk on it?
it doesnt go all the way through

  1. Emergency, empty and move contents into buckets or containers. That’s gonna fail.

  2. Did you throw the mat down then tossed the tank on it, and then without looking you filled it? I am more worried that you didn’t properly center the mat under the tank.

    It could totally go a few years without cracking, then one day you’ll bump it and it will explode your hard work into the floor. or it will randomly decide to do that on its own some other time, as that crack continues to grow. It is only 13 gal but it’s right in the bottom corner. Nice looking tank tho!

  4. I have a 40 gallon cube with a similar chip, is there anyway to brace something like this?

  5. The Sun is going to hit that from the window next to it warm the glass and then the glass is going to cool. Repeat this process making micro fractures throughout the days. Tldr replace your tank bro I’m sorry
