If only you had a long thing that could hold measurement marks on it……..
Any old flexible tape measure will work. Even a metal construction one

Fishing rod? Metre stick? Any cheap tape measure form hardware store?
I put a strip of grip tape on my middle seat and notched tooth marks on it down one side with each point being one inch apart.
Check Walmart, i know they have stuff like that but honestly just get a fabric tape measure
Look up wooden one that folds up, way better than saggy plastic garbage
