Straight Mono? Or Braided to Mono Lead?

Braid to mono, typically with a double uni knot in the vast majority of situations.

For those little guys, I use mono. It’s a personal preference, but I only use braid for heavy cover or when I want low stretch like trolling or deep water.

The two setups I use the most have 20 lb. braid to 12 lb. fluoro leader on medium spinning rods. For little guys like that it’s hard to beat a light action rod and 6 lb. mono though.
