Appreciating the beauty with some underwater footage of this gorgeous alpine lake brookie (it's a still from a video I took, doesn't do it justice). Was pretty quiet all day which was normal for a hot day, but once I put the Copper John dry dropper it was a game changer. Got a couple good looking (but small) browns too.

Even though they’re non native and pose a threat to the genetics of our Bulltrout I do appreciate when they show up in previously empty lakes with no chance of getting into anadromous or Bulltrout/Dolly Varden watersheds. They’re pretty, spawn easily and are also delicious if you like trout. Beautiful lake and fishies.
