I am very new to the hobby and did about 2 years of research before even buying the tank, the tank is cycled, the small amount of shrimp are in, the snails are in, I ordered 6 Pygmy Cory’s and one didn’t make the trip. So I let them live for 3 weeks and just studied their habits. They would always manage to have 1 go off alone and then glass surf and panic, nothing like their normal zoomies. So today I went to the LFS and buffed up the school to 10 Cory’s, everyone has a buddy, no one panics now….

This is a well cycled and all the parameters are monitored other than a semi high ph at times and I’m lowering it.

Given all that, have I painted myself into a corner of no longer being able to get a betta due to the Cory school being too large?

I say this with all the love in my heart- NOT THE FLOATING BETTA HIDE! Everything else is great looking to me! I 3d print stuff with my husband and that print is very low quality and rough and will cut your bettas fins or even worse. Some people sand them down or cover them in moss, but some also said their bettas got stuck in them. If you can get a higher quality print from a friend maybe who knows how to do it that would be good. But I bought the one on Amazon just to check it out and compare with my own 3d printer ideas at home.
