Weighted hook would be my opinion
I just jab it onto a stick and spin it around in the water.. the smallies can’t resist.
Treble hook and tungsten peg weight.
Frog hook from what I’ve seen
Smaller ones I used a weighted wacky hook. Larger ones I used a neko hook with a zman wacky shroomz weight in the bottom👌🏼
The “best rigging” varies by the week at this point. The latest trend is 2/0 frog hooks. Personally I stuck one on a weighted EWG (extra wide gap) that I was using with a worm and caught a bass within a couple casts using it. “Oh damn; that worked… fast”. Then I proceeded to catch nothing else the rest of the day on it.
Can you rig this thing like a big salmon egg on an Octopus hook. ?
Ball Jig hook
Line through weight and treble with a bobber stopper above the bait.
Check out the core tackle dice rig, I picked some up but have not had a chance to use them yet.
I just ordered some today and have been wondering how I was going to do it. I’m thinking a weighted wacky hook on the lake and then Ned rigging it on the river
