I’ve periodically tried out weedless jigs as the main place I fish from the shore is quite weedy, but I’ve never gotten any catches with them. I’ve had a lot of luck with normal jigs by bouncing them off the bottom as I bring them in, but I can’t get anything to go after the weedless ones in the same way. I know there are bass in the area big enough to go after them, just uninterested. Am I missing something with about how to fish them or do the bass in my area just not care for them?

  1. Texas rig is really your best bet if the weeds are bad, anything else will get snagged, no matter how weedless it’s advertised as. Unless the hooks are above the water or buried in soft plastic you’ll get weeds
