40-80 😭 I hate those blocks and the 2/5 on nitrite. They look exactly the same to me

It’s reading a color chart.
You’ve got some water in your nitrates
40 ppm
around 40-50ppm. I do changes anytime its over 40 (I know people recommend 20 but 40 is perfectly fine). I think a 25-30% water change would do you good.

Take it out in the sun. They instantly become insanely easy to read.

A tip ive found for reading these: place the tube over the color block and look through it. The color of the correct reading will make the color block nearly invisible. Helps quite a bit for hard to tell readings. To be clear, cause this is a little confusing of an explanation; you are looking for the least visible color block
I believe this is probably slightly under 40ppm, and the 40ppm color block should be less visible than the 20ppm one.
This is why I bought a Hanna nitrate checker.
