
Spotted about a dozen of these guys (koi/goldfish?) cruising the pond behind my hotel. They were very skittish and wanted nothing to do with worms.
I’m going to try again tomorrow with corn or bread either suspended from a bobber or sitting off the bottom.
Will these fish eat the same bait as a common carp or do I need to fish them differently?

A small worm and a bobber
Wrap white bread around a hook and pack into a ball, cast weightless in front of them, this works for wild carp in mass
Cast net.
