I can’t even make this up, I found a random snail shell on my floor and saw it had a operculum. Grabbed a little cup from my supplies and put some water from one of my tanks in it. Threw the snail in. Mind you, I don’t own these kinds of snails, never even seen one. I have no clue how long they’ve been out of the water especially since I found it behind my bed while sweeping. 💀
After an hour I came back to the cup to find an alive and active snail. I’m so confused how they got there. Does anyone know what kind of snail they are though? Kinda growing attached to this lil dude. They have a missing chip out of their shell. 🐚 ❤️🩹 Open to name suggestions too!

Looks like a nerite snail, and they can live out of the water for days, supposedly even longer. I can’t have them because none of my tanks have lids and they are famous escape artists. I’d call him Houdini.
