I found new one for sale $500 on the fb marketplace, says it’s never been on the water, looks to be stored at a storage unit… anyone have any experience with these? I was looking at Pelican fishing kayaks and this doesn’t seem like a bad idea, I’m in central Nj so it’s bass and pickerel, small lakes and ponds.

Have a coworker who takes one of these on a lake here in jersey with his small kids.  So far he’s a big fan and uses a small electric trolling motor to get around

  2. i have an old one very similar maybe even same brand

theyre great for 1 person bc its genuinely all u need to get on the water but 2 people can be somewhat cramped depending on what all ur trying to bring

u can def find em cheaper unless u absolutely want new

I used to have a similar boat, it was a Bass Hound. Was decent for me and my son to get on the water with a trolling motor.

  4. Get an aluminum john boat with a solid transom. Don’t waste your money on plastic sun dolphin stuff

  5. I use this boat quite a bit and I love it. Where I live we have multiple bodies of water with no boat ramps so these boats come in very handy!

Fish out of a prowler often. Don’t buy this brand. Go with Bass Pro Prowler, if you can. And get a $300 8×4 trailer from Tractor Supply if trying to cut costs. A Bass Pro Prowler 10 is the most buoyant boat you will ever find.

Also, everything on FB Marketplace is a lie. A new one of these from BP is $600.

  7. FIL gave me one.. sold it for a kayak. A little too much for one person IMO. That’s just my opinion tho.
