My gigantic fat betta won't stop eating my AB pleco's algae wafers the second they get soft enough for him to eat, the pleco doesn't come out until very late. Would it be okay to keep him in some sort of breeding box overnight so he doesn't eat the plecos food overnight? (Pictured below, the one im thinking about getting is 23cm long)

What type of pleco do you have?
Like do you mean every night? Not really. It would also probably stress him out being caught and transferred repeatedly. Could you start dropping in the algae wafer just after you turn the lights out? That way the pleco feels more comfortable coming out to eat, and if you do it consistently that way the pleco will put together that lights out = food is coming in the safety of darkness lol
